We're based in Nixa, Missouri. We've been doing this for over 30 years, and we've been serving Southwest Missouri since 2021. Scott Tetley
Owner & Lead Inspector
Scott is, by his own admission, a nerd about mold. He'll explain dew point temperature, psychometric charts, and why fiberglass insulation on a rim joist is often wet. And he'll do it in a way that makes sense, not in a way that confuses you. He's the guy who writes the word “MOLD” in the Aspergillus growing on your floor joists so you can see what you didn't know was there.
He got into this work because he kept seeing the same thing: families paying thousands for “mold treatment” that didn't work, because nobody fixed the moisture. One company sprayed a home for $2,000: one person, three hours. Scott's crew came in after: three people, three days. The homeowner's son was suffering from aspergillosis. The first company didn't even know the white film on the joists was mold.
Before starting TLC Land Crew, Scott was general manager at ServiceMaster and worked with Paul Davis. He knows the codebook, he knows the science, and he doesn't let insurance companies or desk adjusters tell him how to do his job. He is IICRC certified/credentialed, with decades of experience. The products and procedures he uses tell the truth: passing the post-remediation laboratory testing... with pride.
Jana Tetley
Co-Owner & Chief Financial Officer
Jana is co-owner and Chief Financial Officer of TLC Land Crew. She runs the business office and pays the bills while Scott and crew are in the field. Jana used to carry IICRC certifications herself and did all the fire cleaning when Scott was general manager at ServiceMaster. She knows the work from the inside out. She just runs the business side now.
Max Tetley
Duct Cleaning & Operations
Max handles duct cleaning operations and is NADCA trained (National Air Duct Cleaners Association). When your HVAC system needs cleaning after mold remediation, Max is the one making sure every duct, boot, and register is done right. He is also on other Guru jobs on the regular, soaking up Scott's 30+ years of wisdom whenever possible. Max is the next gen of the business.

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification is the gold standard for mold remediation professionals. It's the same certification that insurance companies look for when they approve mold remediation work. The National Air Duct Cleaners Association sets the standard for HVAC duct cleaning. Their training covers proper equipment use, contamination removal, and how to clean duct systems without spreading contaminants through your home.
